Great restaurant that does both pancakes and other food. Have had a few different options here and they never disappoint, breakfast is a good portion and fresh. Their stack meals are brilliant and full of flavour. Some of the pancake stacks can be a bit sweet but still tasty.

Me and my son absolutely love the haystack, we come once a month as a treat and we've never had a bad meal, the food is great, lovely selection. Drinks are delicious, coffee is top notch. The pancake stacks are out of this world amazing both in taste and presentation. All of the staff are extremely helpful and super kind. Always a pleasure to come here and always leave full and happy.

What a unique little place, loved the atmosphere, the decor and the food was plentiful, good quality and delicious. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. I had a basic breakfast which was huge and they actually do an XXL, my husband had scrambled egg and beans on toast with cheese and chives. The breakfast served in a frying pan, the mini milk churns and mini shovels as teaspoons were such a novel touch. We look forward to returning

Haystack, Brynhyfryd – The OG Brunch Spot We’ve been obsessed with this place since day one, and it just keeps getting better! Their firm favourites never miss, and the monthly specials? Always top-tier . March’s specials have been an absolute Cymru delicacy dream Bryn-stack – This is Welsh brunch on steroids. Two slices of toasted sourdough, grilled to perfection with Colliers mature cheddar and Gower Gold rarebit. Topped with crispy bacon, two fried eggs, and the most insanely good crispy cockles. Oh, and the laverbread hollandaise? Absolute gold . Every bite is rich, cheesy, and packed with proper Welsh flavour. Cheesy Leek Loaded Tots – Crispy, golden tater tots smothered in a ridiculously good leek and cheese sauce made with Gower Gold and Colliers mature cheddar. Topped with crispy pancetta lardons and fresh parsley. Comfort food at its very best . The Brunch Burger – A Haystack staple! Sausage patty, crispy bacon, chilli jam, halloumi, and a fried egg, all stacked inside a soft brioche bun. Served with tater tots, because of course . Sweet, savoury, spicy – it just hits every single craving. Everything was absolutely sublime – the bold, rich flavours of Wales in every bite. Cheese, leeks, cockles, laverbread – Haystack really gets it . Counting down the days until April’s specials drop! @haystackcafe Massive shout out to Liam for getting us down and for Wil & the team for looking after us so fabulously indulgent, Welsh, brunch, crispy, iconic

Stunning breakfast on our date day, local parking which was free and the best menu! All around 10-15 quid but quality was great! Deffo a great spot for a treat or a moment to remember. Place was busy on an early Monday morning but still didn't wait long for grub. Coffee and ingredients are local. Coaltown coffee and knipes and co which is great to see. Clean and tidy, nice staff and all the decor is pretty neat and trendy! We loved our American pancakes and we loved the XL breakfast. Plenty of syrups and styles for coffee to so we both had our favourites!

The staff was lovely and very welcoming and the food was really good as well! I had the breakfast pancakes which were delicious, my friends had the haystack which they also really enjoyed but imo the portion is a bit small compared to the pancakes for example, but it tastes really good as well. The coffee was amazing
